Sure was - a big monster one too. The house is a 60s house with various quirks and one of them was it came with two furnaces, one for either end of the house. We are connecting the two ducting networks and just having one so this former furnace room is being repurposed as a badly-needed pantry. Turns out ceiling tiles are just the right size to plug that kind of hole.
