We actually had something similar happen at my church. After my minister passed away, the man who took his place was a snake oil salesman. He talked a good game, but he was not honestly trying to walk his talk. He showed up with a fiance, but dumped her for the church secretary and then dumped her for a married church member! Eek! He also gave talks in which he would claim a story he was telling had happened to him personally, when it was a commonly known story told by Wayne Dyer, or Alan Cohen and a few others. Weird. Anyway, he made a big fuss when he left, and the church was divided. I admit I wasn't up to participating in the nonsense, even though my presence and loyalty to the church might have been helpful. I stopped attending for awhile. I am sure your steady presence and willingness to pitch in will help the school recover and rebuild!

I was wondering if you got a drenching at the garden last weekend! I am glad it wasn't too wet most of the day. I am happy things went well and you had a good sized team of volunteers and some generous donations to get the job done!
