I always love the change of seasons best. Autumn - when the first cold weather sends everyone into their favorite snuggly clothes and the trees paint glorious colors. Winter - when the first snowfall is magic and everyone starts counting the days till Christmas. Spring - when you notice a sudden warmth in the breeze and the first robin and new leaf are causes for celebration. Summer - when you realize you don't need a jacket any more and the kids are getting excited about the end of school. I've spent a few years where there wasn't much change of seasons and I was so happy to come back here! Our one family Autumn custom is to rake the leaves into the highest pile we can across the sidewalk for our daughter to ride her bike through. We take pictures just as she hits it and the leaves explode in all directions, then rake them up and do it again. We've done it since she had her first trike and even now at 13 she loves it.
