I loved the original Elfquest storyline - I have the first 6 books, 4 of them with the more delicate coloring before Marvel 'ruined' the artwork with its comic-book coloring look. It was Wendy Pini's artwork that drew me in, long ago - I found the tale began to get too weird and less believable to me as it continued, and ended up not pursuing it further, but especially like Cutter's orignial quest in the first 4. Great characters!
