They're big, graphic novels with lovely artwork - they really were the start of that genre and a large part of the 'anime' style becoming more popular, though I don't see them as anime, per se. The storyline and characters in the first 4 in the series are well worth checking into.

LOL about the turntable - I finally bought a turntable, just so I could listen to all my old records again. My kids were fascinated with 'Mom's Big CDs' - especially how you could run it at different speeds. :-D

This collection I'm getting has "Hansel and Gretel and Ted and Alice: an Opera in One Unnatural Act" - I can't waiiit! I still remember the Village Idiot Aria.
