Waiting to hear -

Icarus posted a little while ago now that he was at the hospital and Rosie was bringing Baby #8 into this beautiful world... Hoping all is well, and everyone is healthy.

Anyone ever planted a porcelain vine? I was captured by their beauty this past fall and finally brought one home to plant today - little tag says they can reach up to 12 feet! I'm eyeballing my 6-foot fence I was going to put it along and wondering if it will overwhelm it.

Wow, I didn't know she was expecting again- that's awesome! Hope Ic didn't file his tax return yet, he can claim an eighth dependent, LOL.

And I've never heard of a porcelain vine, I'll bet it will be very pretty.

Yup - they're hoping for a girl to reestablish the 'boy-girl balance' in the household, now that they have 4 boys and 3 girls, but we'll see! She says it is her last...tho' she said that about Adam when he was born too, heh.

A porcelain vine is a lovely thing, the berries almost look fake they're such unplantlike colors - pearlescent turquoise, lavender, and pink and cream, beautiful. I believe it is a relative of the grape, so it is cut back each year. I so hope mine lives!

Aren't they just to die for? I have the most beautiful coral-bells to put at its feet too, the leaves are a soft, clear peach color like autumn all the time, with chocolate-chip bugles for the ground cover - the deep green/blue/chocolate colored leaves are gorgeous against the peach.
