I need a Marshmallow Peep to distract my Muse

I have a very pushy Muse at times - just finished not one but TWO stories and got them posted, thinking "ahhh... freedom! just in time for yard work and spring planting!" but NooOOOoooo, she just had to cook up not one but TWO more stories for me to be hounded by on top of an older WIP I had been hoping to peck away at. Egads. As if Three wasn't bad enough, now I've Two and Four after me! Halp!

*disappears, flailing under a pile of untyped words*

But hey! At least my yard looks good - I've a sea of daffodils and muscari and the tulips are coming up already as well as the trees blooming! What a lovely Easter it will be this year. I get to spend this Sunday helping with our children's egg-hunt event at the church by being a face-painter, then there's our Maundy Thursday service, plus I'm in charge of baskets of flowers to hand out Easter morning. Good thing I have a lot of daffys, makes it indisputably cheaper.

What are you planning for this Easter season? Anything special?

Wait - you've done what? *Gets all excited*

:-D

Bunnies are like that. Want to hang any of them out to dry on my shiny new comm that has some people I don't know on it? Oh, no wait, shiny NEW idea!!!

I'm so behind with my reading. Hopefully over the weekend, because there are some great-looking fics by you and [livejournal.com profile] john_elliott I need to read.

Oh dear, not "new new" stories, just "new" stories (Sweetest being the most recent complete), I should have to be super-human to have reeled off two more in one week! I was looking over my bunnies last night to see if I had any to release over there, but I just couldn't quite give any of them up...yet. Give me time, no doubt I'll succumb eventually. :-D

I know what you mean about being behind - and [livejournal.com profile] jjpor keeps cranking epics out by the bucketload as well. We've too much talent around this place and not enough time to read it all!

Heh, okay. :-) Well, we are trying to chain [livejournal.com profile] jjpor up and make him write a novel in order to give us some breathing space, and stop making the rest of us look like pale shadows in comparison, but you know how it is.

I think I might just print off the remaining longer fics and settle down with them somewhere in a corner - it just makes it harder to review each section afterward, and I hate to be stingy on the reviews!!!

But, hey, that's much better than the alternative. *collective smugness*

(What's all this about a shiny new comm that apparently has something to do with plot bunnies?)

She has offered us a lovely corner to swap things in: Follow the bouncing panda ---> [livejournal.com profile] dw_straybunnies

I was going to go "Yay Two and Four!" but since I sympathize with your problem I thought better of it. (But wait, I ended up writing it anyway, didn't I? Oh dear.) Ah well, at least Three, Two and Four are better behaved muses than Ten, Six or my Fourteen. :P

[identity profile] primsong.livejournal.com 2010-03-26 03:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Six! Yikes... I would tremble to be hounded by Six. And wear sunglasses.

[identity profile] nentari.livejournal.com 2010-03-26 03:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Six is a sweetheart, really, but he's so demanding. The one that causes me the strongest migraines is Ten.

[identity profile] primsong.livejournal.com 2010-03-26 03:44 pm (UTC)(link)
I sympathize - the couple times I've had Ten about he just wouldn't shut up or hold still!
:-P

The good thing is that the only plot bunny with him I have at the moment has him meeting my Fourteen and she puts him in his place, leaving him a bit more subdued than usual. Mickey, understandably, won't stop giggling.

AAAAWWWwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

[identity profile] curuchamion.livejournal.com 2010-03-26 12:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh, yeah, it seems to be going around. I haven't been able to write anything but unpublishable woobie!Illya sappiness since my collapse, but recently I've been coming up with crazy complicated plots for wild AUs including one where Illya is undercover as a butler in a tale (very) loosely based on Disney's Mary Poppins...

*shakes head at self*

Hee! That actually sounds like it would be rather fun. :-D

Here's hoping! =D

Ohmigosh! [livejournal.com profile] lothithil sent me a virtual Peep!! Haha!

Thank you ((((loth))))

(((Prim))) anything to make the Muse happy! :-D
