Potpourri dancing

We have a dance group of older women who go by the name of Potpourri because it makes something lovely out of old, withered flowers. ;-) I got to dance with them at a rest home this week to try out my new song - thank goodness I did get that costume together at last (except the shoes, my silver shoes literally disintegrated and I spent an entire day of last-minute ripping around town trying to find suitable dance shoes in my size - arrrgh...otherwise...).

SO - since I did have a couple people ask for pics whenever I managed to wrangle this thing into order, here's a little something. I managed to do some makeup (yes, you may laugh at me - but I am NOT a makeup person normally so this is a learning curve)-



Thankfully remembered to remove my glasses before performing. And someone did snap a picture of the entire outfit -

Youtube is my friend - I found a step by step on how to do the eyes which helped quite a lot.

Thank you! And yeah... my silver shoes were pretty old, I guess while they could manage being quietly walked in and used for 'sitting' events, they were really not up to being pressed into service as dance shoes. The soles literally cracked into pieces and fell apart, not unlike some of us as we age, hehe.
