Potpourri dancing

We have a dance group of older women who go by the name of Potpourri because it makes something lovely out of old, withered flowers. ;-) I got to dance with them at a rest home this week to try out my new song - thank goodness I did get that costume together at last (except the shoes, my silver shoes literally disintegrated and I spent an entire day of last-minute ripping around town trying to find suitable dance shoes in my size - arrrgh...otherwise...).

SO - since I did have a couple people ask for pics whenever I managed to wrangle this thing into order, here's a little something. I managed to do some makeup (yes, you may laugh at me - but I am NOT a makeup person normally so this is a learning curve)-



Thankfully remembered to remove my glasses before performing. And someone did snap a picture of the entire outfit -

Also survived my first performance using dance wings without setting them on fire with the altar candles or knocking any of the poinsettias flying! A friend took a pic, it's blurry but gives a general idea at least.



I had my wings hidden behind me for the first half of the song (looks like a cape when down) so it was fun having everyone's eyes bug out when I opened them up. X-D They are very dramatic!
