Now I know this will be a "so what?" to those of you who have demonstrated a black-belt in fanvid making, but I'm rather happy and excited that my one and only fanvid evah, which then wouldn't upload and caused me so much frustration that I swore off vidding forever has been miraculously fixed by my dear hubby as a Valentine's gift. *boing boing*

I've even managed to upload it to youtube, I feel so accomplished. ;-)

For those so inclined, here's Dee Dee Dandy Third Doctor at youtube

We probably watched it three times over here, even though we already knew it well just because it was so novel having it appear on youtube. Now [livejournal.com profile] starbells is champing at the bit to have her likewise unloadable Three-Jo one running too. :-D

And a very happy Valentine's to you also - Hope you had the Retreat of Very Awesome this week!

That was aDorable! Really nice editing, and great moments! And even though Ernie didn't sing about Daleks, you had me mentally adding that in! Your vidding skills run rings around mine -- I can't even figure out how to get a clip off a DVD.

I had to use bits of clips of episodes I'd saved off youtube before the Great Purge took all such goodies down, I still can't figure out how to capture footage either, though I do own all the episodes pictured so at least I don't feel like pirate. ;-) Learn as we go, us old dogs...

And I'm so glad you liked it!

(And I just showed it to my sister and brother, and they loved it too. And they're not even Who fans! I think we all cracked up at the "dunk a Dalek" bit...)

very good Prim, and such an apt song. This must have taken you ages to put together.

I really didn't notice the high tech (!) specs of the BBC props department when I watched for the first time. It all looks very 'quaint' now! (is that the word? :-))

How on earth did they keep a straight face when those plastic monsters attacked?

How about one for Number Two, my favourite Doctor? Are there enough clips out there?

I would love to do one for Two, he's wonderful! - If we can figure out how to snag bits from the vhs tapes we have (we're working on it) then maybe I can play a bit with his as well. :-D

And yes, the 'cheese factor' in old Who is a good part of its charm to me - I find I prefer it to overdone CGI in the new ones, you really can't beat the fun of telling the story with bubblewrap and green lightbulbs for effects.
