All right clouds, you can rain! I get the point. Really.  You can stop now, any day now.... take a lunch-break and go off to the sea to fatten up on new moisture or whatever it is you clouds do for fun. *blub* *blub*

There is grass along my driveway that is literally up to my shoulders. My lawn is over a foot tall and it won't stop raining long enough to mow it, so I'm now reduced to struggling along shoving a push-mower through the mud to try to keep it in enough submission that the weeds don't go to seed in the middle of it. Help!

Ah-HA! That's where all of our sunshine went! I think we have your share of the rain clouds... Care to trade? I'll give you 35 rainclouds in exchange for half an hour of clear sun, plus I'll toss in a slightly used tennis ball and a potted plant. Deal? ;-)

Well, the rain has duly arrived, thank you. Been going on nicely since at least yesterday morning and due for the rest of the week.

So, when do I get my potted plant and tennis ball?

I know what you mean! I live in a desert! A desert! Where is all this rain coming from? It's the beginning of June, and usually this time of year it's almost a hundred and people are struggling to do more than flop around and sweat. This is crazy!

And go you for pushing that mower to try to keep the seeds down! I would be like, "It's a jungle out there, isn't it cool?"

I love a jungle, but as the person who then has to pull all the descendants of those jungle weeds I've learned to be fairly merciless in tromping after them. Wet in the desert too? Wow!

Quick grab your video camera and film a new Doctor Who episode. The Green Swarm. Or Invasion of the Weedlings!

Something! Be sure to write TEE SHIRT DOCTOR into it :) A follow on to the Green Death. Yes, Too Much Green LIFE!

If the grass is up to your shoulders, is it okay if I hope you are really short?

If it was here, I think I would arm the children with play scissors and send them out.

Boy, I don't know... Tee-Shirt!Doctor might set the savannah on fire. ;-) And lolz on the scissors - my youngest was out there doing exactly that! She trimmed them all down along the edge with my kitchen shears.
