Mr. Death has bad timing

primsongDrattiy drat drat. Just found out a good friend rather suddenly passed away due to health complications - while I am saddened, she was ready to go meet Jesus and it weirdly isn't so much a tragedy as a frustration because of the timing.
Her memorial is Saturday, exactly the same time as the church baby shower I'm hosting. Seeing as the shower is at my house I can't exactly just not show up... Arrrgh. It'll likely be a huge memorial, she touched a lot of people and was a pastor's wife and a kindergarten teacher, so it isn't like I'll be missed, but still.....Guess I'll have to settle for a nice card for the family and maybe go by to help do some yardwork - she was the one with all the flowers in the yard, and it looking neglected may be a downer to them when they're still adjusting.
