My previous post about how hot and miserable it is in many a place made me think to go out into my yard this morning and wander around with the camera for a few minutes - cool your eyes with a bit of my rainy garden today, if you like:
So pretty! Can I hire you to design my landscaping? I seriously have no idea when it comes to plants, flowers, etc. I guess living in the desert for 15 years will do that to a person.
Well, having lots of water, mild summers and hardly any snow is a big plus, lol... might be a little harder to do over there, lol!
The few yards I've seen from desert places seemed to mostly be made up of colored rocks, gee-gaws, whirligigs, wooden signs with humorous sayings, colored picket fences, yucca and cacti - maybe you just need to start collecting tacky yard decor now so you can do the Desert Granny thing properly someday. ^_^
Oh, lovely! Your lavender looks much better behaved than the sprawling monster in my front garden. It hasn't bloomed yet and is still trying to take over the path to the front door no matter how often I go out there and hack it back. I will forgive it when it blooms and the cats come in smelling all lavendery because they fell asleep under it :)
