I suppose it wouldn't hurt to hop on the back tailgate of it for a few paces, to see if there is anyone who isn't worn out on it already. I was trying to catch all of them from the others who did them, so forgive me if you put this up and I missed yours.

In the Comments section, post three things that you like, enjoy, or admire about me. These can be physical attributes or personality traits; your choice. (try not to get too sappy, okay?) Then post one thing that I do that drives you NUTS. Try to be diplomatic though, okay? And then... post this in your LJ to see what I and others really dig about you and what about you makes us roll our eyes.

- you are a great moderator at the Fanclub messageboards; diplomatic yet firm, and always fair, and you do a fantastic job of keeping up with the Scrapbook -- voluntarily!
- you are a great writer -- your poetry is always moving, and your prose is so descriptive it is like being there!
- I appreciate your support of my own writing, and I like it that you are a fellow librarian! (Sorry, slipped in a couple of extra ones there.)

What bugs me? That we only had an hour together the one time we had a chance to meet. :-( But at least we did meet!

Likewise! It didn't feel like much of a meeting at all, did it? :-/ Ah, but for more time, dear ((((Lin)))) Thank you for your kind words, and your patient support.

1. You are an awesome writer- prose, poetry, limericks, complicated fixed forms- you name it, you can do it.
2. You look fabulous in green. :-)
3. You have a great sense of humor-and you love Bilbo.
Complaint: that you are on the Pacific Rim. Darn it, why can't all of you move down here?

Aww, thanks! And yes, I do love dear old Bilbo. I want to live in Bag End until I am old yet still hale, writing, eating and entertaining wizards and dwarves. Yes I do! :-D

(1) From the pics I've seen, you have a beautiful smile.

(2) Your writing puts me to shame. You are incredible.

(3) All the work you do on the scrapbook and the boards blows me away. I admire you.

Thing that bugs me....I haven't seen that smile in person.....yet. That will be remedied soon (as soon as my brother moves out your way, I'm heading out there for vacation!)

Are you really?? Oh, that would be so fun - especially if you have time to tour around a bit. Maybe we can have a minimoot in your honor, like we did when halvana came out- Yay!

Your kind nature, your family, your creativeness, your smile, your sense of humor, etc.

What drives me nuts??? um, that I've only been able to spend a few hours with you.

(((GG)))) But what a great few hours they were, ones that I would happily do again at the drop of a hat.

I suppose "ditto" isn't a good enough answer. 1. You make me cry with your poems 2. The poem about Gilraen you wrote long ago inspired my unfinished masterpiece, which will end with your words, more perfect than any I can come up with. 3. Your total support for my fledgling writing gave me courage and hope to continue. What bugs me? The distance between us - literally! Maine to Oregon is just too, too far away. ((((((((Prim))))))))))))

The one good thing about Maine and Oregon is we can both go into Portland for the day, hee hee! True, it might be harder to have lunch at the same restaurant... (((((NS)))))

I had no idea Gilraen's poem was so strongly a part of your tale... that is so touching for me.....

And oh, but it's nice to see you feeling a little better again - may you continue to heal, to grow and to blossom!

Yes, I was in fine form yesterday, wasn't I? =(

The Gilraen poem was what started me thinking of the tale than eventually has become Heart of the Dunedain ( and is nearly done, amazingly enough). I suppose we could go to our respective Portland(s) and at least go to a Wendy's and chat via cell phone, but that's probably as far as a lunch date it could go, drat!

Three things about you...

I like how you support us amateur writers with your honest enthusiasm and firm guidance.

I enjoy your inklings and poems hugely, and I love being in the PP when you 'let your hair down'!

I admire your dedication in keeping the Scrapbook so beautiful. You really have made this uneducated lass feel like a writer!

But you drive me nuts...

when you post those awesome poetry challenges that I have NO CLUE how to do... I am envious of your immense talent!

Dear, dear Loth - thank you, for your words both here and in all of your many written works. And you know, I should take more time to "play" at the PP, shouldn't I? It seems I am so often just a lurker, because that green makes me self-conscious of my words. And goodness, those challenges weren't *that* hard... except the double-dactyls maybe. And the rhopalics. And maybe the sestinas. I love seeing everyone stretch their wings a little that way. :-)

*rolls her eyes like Frodo*

Not that hard....?! I took more than a year to meet the Double Dactyl thingys... and even now my brain has a restraining order against me!

(laughs) Thank you for *pushing*. I would not have come so far, without your interest and guidance.

(((Prim)))

*Muttering ".... not that hard.... the Sestinas left me in a wheelchair for six months..." *faint giggling*

1) Your spontaneous creativity. Watching you just make up borders and things on the spot for the scrapbook was amazing. You are very talented.

2) You're smile.

3) you're tenacity with grace. You find ways to carefully blend tolerance with your firm beliefs in a way that I have yet to master and I look up to you for that.

the annoying thing (trying to think of something other than you're so far away, 'cause everyone else has already said that)

ummm....you know more than me. :-P I hate that.

Oh me oh my but you just made me laugh - your parting line was a doozy! So much of our human existance could be summed up in such a phrase. LOL!

Thank you, dear ((((((HL))))))) - and I am *sure* there are plenty of areas that you know far more than I do in. May we have time together again someday to find out what they are. :-D

1) your incredible talent, those fixed form poems you come up with always floor me ;-)
2) "Nothing of Note" - the only inkling I have been following chapter by chapter
3) you are a very diplomatic moderator and you make everyone on the message boards feel welcome

I regret that we haven't been able to meet each other so far, but "we may yet, Mr. Frodo, we may".
