Here we Goooo into 2017

We're off to a slam-bang starter for this year as hubby is on the road to his new job down south in a car full of clothing and whatnot and I'm trying to find my way out of all the holiday things to put away/throw out/use up.  Daughter moved into a rented room on the coast at the same time so she is no longer hotel hopping. 

I was crazy-busy overseeing our church Watch Night while they were scrambling and launching from home, managed to get through our annual overnight prayer & worship event complete with breakfast at sunrise and staggered home to a house now only inhabited by Son, cat and parakeets. 

Ran out of time to find a new car before he had to go, so he's going to just look for one down there and drive it up when he finds it rather than risk a mechanical lemon as he's the one who knows what he's looking at under the hood.  Pbbbblt!

i thought she had an apartment. or am i thinking of someone else?

Oops, sorry for the confusion - I have two of them! Younger one thankfully found an apartment they could afford in October, now Elder one has finally gotten a roof over her head as well. She was sleeping in her car and bouncing from one hotel 'special walk in rate' to another. She said it helped her relate to the homeless people her church ministers to but she was VERY grateful to have a place to go, even if it's just a rented room in a single-wide. It's good for up to a year, so maybe by then she'll find a little studio or something of her own.
