Well, knock me over with a feather. I sent "disgusting" grapefruit juice to my son's classroom for their party, and he tells me that the other drink available was an "icky punch nobody liked" so they opened my juice and drank every drop!

What is it with kids these days? They drink grapefruit juice, and they eat tofu too. I wouldn't do those things for anything when I was a kid, I had to "get old" first.

I think they're learning it from their parents :):)

Laura's daughter is a vegetarian and guzzles green tea!

Try them on brussel sprouts next -- though IMHO, that's a GOOD vegetable!

Don't look now, you have probably started something that will last years -- your son will always be wanting to take Grapefruit juice to class functions now because it went down so well. I sent homemade dill pickles once with my boy in desperation, and then his class started asking for them whenever they had a class party!

Tofu? These children really ARE advanced!

It is funny, though, the things we wouldn't even consider ( even under pain of no dessert for a week) when we were younger somehow become not so bad when we're grown.

I make my salad with spinach leaves ( though sprouts still make me gag). I eat feta cheese. I love my broccoli....although beets and creamed corn are still two of the most putrid things on earth, and Brynn will never have to even try them, cause I won't have them in the house!

How much do you want to bet that the "icky punch" was another mom's desperate 7:59am contribution? =D

Oh boy, can I have your share then?

I was always one of those weird kids who loved brussel sprouts, and asked for chicken with broccoli for my birthday dinner.

My eldest will eat plain tofu with a spoon, right out of the carton - I don't mind tofu and often cook with it, but I'm sorry.... even I don't do *that* O.o

I love beets, they make you purple. And creamed corn, oh yum! Shoot, my brother and I used to fight over canned spinach with lemon pepper on it, so maybe it runs in my family after all.

Beets and brusselsprouts, mmmmm! Can I come to your house for lunch? Do you like turnips, too? Yummy!

I've always liked grapefruit juice - at least with a lot of sugar. Though tofu? Not sure about that!

You're an amazing woman, Prim =D Warped about the whole veggie issue, maybe, but amazing nonetheless.

*and yes, you can have all the creamed corn that I don't want...had I known that, I could've provided you with about 12 years' worth!*
