Woo! I just found out that a message had been buried in old emails and my first attempt at a homemade avatar pack being offered for other boards wasn't rejected after all (I thought the response was a deafening silence) - They've released it as an avatar set on the phpbb forums.

It's a set of 162 80x80 gardening/flower/plant avatars made almost entirely from pictures of my yard and the plants that some of my neighbors have growing out in front, with a couple others tossed in for fun. I'm just so pleased that others may use them - I've never been able to share something that way before. :-) I originally developed it for an avatar gallery at the One Small Garden forums.

What timing! I was just thinking this morning how I'd like to add a couple of gardening/flower icons to my user pics (inspired by this weekend of course ;) and was thinking of asking you if you had any! Congratulations! Am downloading your pack now :):)

it is amazing how simple everyday icons can make really interesting and artistic icons...a lot of these pics must be from your back yard cause I don't remember seeing them this weekend. You really have a very artistic eye...and I love how you did the star icons!

Plus...you inspired me to make one of my own from a pic Bob took of our crocuses in the snow :)

The back had a small number - madrone, firs and such; I have a lot more plant variety in my yard later in the year and I took most of them the past summer, plus several from a handful of neighbor's yards that have nice flowerbeds in front.

I'm so very glad you're enjoying them! They did take a very long time - but it was enjoyable time. :-)

Oh! Very nice, Prim! I was sad I only had 7 open slots in my LJ Gallery and had to be really choosy, lol. I may have to cycle some things in and out. Thanks for this!!!

You are most welcome! :-) I'm glad you enjoy them.

(I only have a free account, so 7 slots is more than I have in the first place, lol... Have fun cycling!)
