Gravel gravel everywhere...
Feb. 2nd, 2007 10:18 amAt last the weather has complied with our wishes long enough that we can get new gravel laid down on the driveway - lots of excited child-shrieking in the house when that huge sunny-yellow truck pulled up and began dumping little bits of ex-cliff-and-ridge on the drive. Plenty of heavy raking to be done the next couple days... don't think they'll like that part nearly as well.
Drat. The little rosemary plant shaped into a topiary that my mom left in my care while she is traveling died. She got it for Christmas and left it... alas, I warned her that for whatever reason I've never found the combo that keeps rosemary shrubs alive - killed three of them now. It's pathetic crunchy carcass is on my step now, still smells nice if you crumble it but I doubt she wanted a crumbly topiary in a pot, no matter how fragrant.
