Got a call from an attorney - seems I am needed to take the stand as a witness for a friend of mine whose daughter has played with mine nearly all their growing up years, nasty divorce pending as it is... too many sorrows that are not mine to share with others - and now finding someone I have a lot of difficulties with will be witnessing for the 'other side.' And it is this Friday.

Pray that I may give my testimony just to judges and attorneys, and not have the additional emotional turmoil of dealing with someone who caused us much hurt in the recent past being in the same room, I haven't quite healed up enough from those events yet, and don't want it to rattle me when my friend needs me for support. It needs to not be about me or my emotions.

And that the decision rendered at the end will be truly just, whatever that may be.

I've never done this - I expect it is rather not like Perry Mason. Add it to the list of life experiences, I guess...

Oh, my, yes! I shall be praying for you from this moment on, for today as you anticipate, for tomorrow as you give witness, and for the days after as you deal with the aftereffects of the turmoil. Praying most of all that this person who has hurt you will not have any effect on your quality of peace.

Oh, ((((Prim))))! That is very anxious-making. I was only ever in a court room twice: once when I didn't get chosen for a jury and another time when I needed more time to pay a traffic ticket. Nothing like what you'll have to do. I know I hate confrontation and I suspect you do, too. I know having someone like you up there on the witness stand will only help the right side win.

Yikes! I know the feeling of pressure that you describe. Forget about all those TV shows you've seen. That propaganda will play with your brain!
