Writing iz phun
Dec. 1st, 2008 12:04 pmIt looks like it's Happy MEFA Time for many of the fine writers we have, all busily cranking out delightful Middle-earth reading material and apparently barely stopping to breathe, much less eat or sleep looking at the sheer volume of it all. Congrats to Agape and Linaewen & Shirebound - and others to come along as well, I do hope.
I (who not only breathe, eat, sleep but also wander off into other fandoms) am greatly cheered to find I nevertheless managed to make my way into the crowd - but it's a rather large crowd, hence I shall briefly toot my own little party-horn here:
Merry on the Pelennor Fields received First Place in Genres: Poetry: Drama
Rivendell International Airport received First Place in Genres: Humor: Elven Lands
Weathertop (a set of six poems) received First Place in Genres: Poetry: Late Third Age
and my chubby-dwarf tale, Bombur's Diet, received an Honorable Mention in Races: Dwarves: General
Yippity-doo!

Date: 2008-12-03 07:07 pm (UTC)I'm honored to be able to read your creations and those of Agape & Lin. You all never cease to amaze me with your clever tales and beautiful poetry.
The Professor would be proud, I think, to see his world expanded upon in such fine fashion.
Cheers!
