I was up waaay too late last night, though we only had a small number of guests I'm still a real wimp for late hour parties. Just look for the one half-asleep, propped up and trying to be a friendly hostess with a brain that shut down and filled up with cotton-balls hours ago.

Welcome to 2009.

Wonderful morning surprise - my younger one stayed up *all night* to make me a present, a lovely little music vid of one of my favorite pairs ever, Three and Jo. Complete fluff, much happiness, made all the ladies in the house squee. She's also making me a Three plushie, lol... he's so cute, even half-done. The family that Threes together squees together!

Grey, rainy day and I just realized I forgot to buy a calendar - time stands still. I'll have to decide what pictures I want this time around - last year it was photos of skies.

What kind of calendar did you get this year? Are you picky about the pictures?

I can completely see this for you - it would be perfect, in fact. :-)

My boss's boss surprised me on my last day of work before Christmas by popping in with a Weather Trivia calendar for me. It's perfect!

And your Three!squee sounds like so much fun! :D Happy 2009!

Weather trivia would be fun - it must be one of those daily ones you tear off?

And yes - I am still completely tickled with the level of Three!squee in the house today, he's such fun. We varied it with a little Seven!squee this afternoon, but Three still rules.

These calendars are quite neat - they've got a large weather picture for each month, and then a little "fun fact" for every day. I think this one's supposed to be Canadian-centric, so I should learn something. ;)

Seven!squee is absolutely wonderful as well, but nobody beats Three!

My baby brudder gave me a set of calendars with horses. Big one for the wall, little one for the desk, book mark for, well, a book, and a little business card sized one to carry around.
Ain't he preciousssss...

Sounds like you had a delightful time ringing in the new year.

Sounds like a very sweet brother, horses are always a graceful subject. I like the idea of a coordinated set like that. Happy new year!

I got..no calender this year...I do most of my date tracking on my laptop now so there's not really any point. I have had LOST calendars the last two years, but since this last season didn't have Charlie (Dom), its not as big deal to me not to have one ;)

What or who are Three and Jo?

We keep track of all the family comings and goings on our kitchen wall calendar, so we would be lost without one - I didn't even know there were LOST calendars out there, but as you say, what would be the point if they are Dom-less? ;-)

Three is the Third Doctor (played by Jon Pertwee) and Jo is Jo Grant, his assistant (played by Katy Manning). Happy fluffness! They are one of the most adorable couples ever in Who-dom. (see huggy icon for proof) :-) Three's era is one of the best in Doctor Who's history, imho.

Happy New Year! Glad you've been having a nice time. I share a house with a friend and she turned up with a Canada calendar (where she went on her hols last year). But since I normally go out and try a find a reduced but nice scenic one, this is fine!

Glad you had such a lovely Three/Jo vid - v. sweet of your daughter! What did you do for Seven!squee? Am intrigued as IMO Seven's era is clearly the best! Well, provided you don't include Time and the Rani. ;-)

'The family that Threes together squees together!'

Hee hee! My mother is not a Whovian and can't tell Doctors apart by number, but she knows which one I'm usually talking about - "He's the good-looking one, right? The ONLY good-looking one." LOL!

(Yeah, then I have to remind her about "Tristan"... she does think Peter Davison is good-looking, but always forgets he played the Doctor. *g* I should see that ep of ACG&S that guest-starred Nick Courtney!)

Peter Davison is a doll - not as much 'my type' (which apparently means 'old brit geezer') but cute - and wait... Nick Courtney was on ACG&S?? I must go find out when that was - I'm saving my pennies with the intent of buying some seasons of that on dvd this next year, my library only has the earlier ones and I'd like to revisit it more completely.

Sounds like there is hope for your mom - maybe start her off on Fivey? ;-)
