Just a brief political note for those in the States - Thanks to Stef for the pointer. Anyone interested in knowing exactly how many porky ornaments have been buried in the stimulus package may want to take a look over here where they've broken it down into an item-by-item list that can be voted on:

Be sure to let your reps and senators know what your own thoughts might be, pass the word.

Tine's sister in Bayreuth lived in her father-inlaws old home (very nice and roomy with huge garden and lots of wood inside and staircases) where Hitler would visit the father in law when he came to watch the Wagner Operas and see his friends.

Yes I sat in the chair and rooms where Hitler stayed..small world.
They have horses and a small horse ranch too.
Brewmeister retired, but tours and free bier and food abound.

homesick just thinking of it

We lived in Kulmbach, try an image google search to see out hometown there, where Tine grew up and we were married.

lots of good memories.

Today my father told me he has fuild in his lungs and his heart is failing, he maybe a week or two he was told by his doctors.

yes
Prayers for Steve would be good.

Thanks for being my friend

It's beautiful! No wonder you would be homesick for such a place.

God be with your dad, your family and the doctors too.
