Tea Party time
Feb. 23rd, 2009 08:53 pmWell, it's a rare thing for me but it looks like we're meeting some others on Friday to join in with Portland's non-partisan 'tea party' protest. Seriously. This round of meetings will be 2/27 simultaneous at noon EST (that makes it quite early for us).
Just thought I'd post in case anyone else is interested in joining a group in their own area - the grassroots on this is gathering steam.
Some are listed here: http://www.nationwidechicagoteaparty.com/

"Pirates of Penzance" has long been a family favorite. So long, in fact, that when we first watched it Meg couldn't say "pirate" yet and just kept asking for the "rat movie". LOL A local high school is doing it next week and we can't wait to go! You're welcome to copy the icon if you like.

Date: 2010-05-21 06:29 pm (UTC)(Well... fairly sure. *g* My mom would die of horror on principle if I took up belly-dancing, for instance. But it is awesome how many unexpected mind-twins seem to find each other on the Internet, isn't it?)

Date: 2010-05-21 07:35 pm (UTC)Ah well! I understand, I've seen that look of subdued horror on some faces already, hah... and truly if I was doing anything like a Hollywood-style cabaret bellydance in pink gauze (you can see the image flickering through their minds) I would be horrified too.
