Stayed up waaay too late last night reading ElfQuest after discovering all of it could be found online - I quit buying the graphic novels years and years ago when the plotline started to just get weirder and wonkier by the moment... a little after the giant egg thing and the fall of Blue Mountain and the Dewshine's floating baby, etc. Kind of fun to rediscover it, though - and I find the plots are STILL very bizarre, but I still like the main characters and the artwork enough to go wading in to read them anyway, lol...

Speaking of old favorites revisited:

All my fellow Old-Schoolers - don't forget to do your duty and drop in some nominations for your favorite Brigadier-fic at Children of Time. The Brig would expect no less.

I'm a newbie to Elfquest, having read #1 only after reading your post. I saw the original comics in book stores and was curious, but never bought them since I didn't have the money at the time or wasn't willing to risk spending it on anything so new and unfamiliar. Thanks for the info about them being all online now!

I read them at a friend's house when I was in college and they haunted me enough to make me go ferret out my own copies of the first four - Always been tremendously impressed with the grace and detail Wendy Pini puts in to the illustrations, and Cutter and Skywise are a classic hero/rogue pair. :-D Hope you enjoy them!
