We've decided we're doing a 'Trunk or Treat' for the 31st at our church, where we dress up our cars (and ourselves) and hand out candy from our trunks in the parking lot, so it'll be like going to a neighborhood of houses except it's car to car instead of house to house.

I'm going to dress up in all my bellydance fluff and jingles, but I'm somewhat at a loss as to how to dress up my station wagon. I don't want to spend a bunch of money on it, but all I can think of are uninspired things like tacking crepe paper around inside the windows and leaning a couple corn-shocks on it. :-/

It's a big old Ford wagon with wood paneling and pop up seats in the back.

Help me F-list, you're my only hope!

Maybe it's my experience growing up as the one facing backwards in the sticky hot black vinyl seats of the "way-back" of our un-airconditioned Ford Fairlane station wagon, but the first thing I thought of was teeth. A station wagon should open up and have teeth like it wants to swallow you whole - like the "Monster Book of Monsters" from Harry Potter. It's probably not the best idea, but it's what popped into my head, lol.

Oooh. I like that idea. XD

Spooky colored lights behind shielded windows might add to the ambience, too.

I kind of like that - if I put the tailgate down, a red blanket might make a tongue... hm....

Got any extra fabric? You could drape it about the car to go with your belly-dancer outfit.

I like this one too! I might press a small folding canopy into service at the end of the car for a tent-top - provided good will has some lengths of old gauzy curtains or something I can dredge up. :-D They could go inside the windows too, if there was enough of them.
