One of the nicest things about December is it usually brings with it little shining Christmas stories, snippets with sprinkles and warm tales all fragrant with spices.

Here's my own offering for this year, Wishing on a Peppermint Star - a warm cocoa cup of Three and Jo, stirred with a candy cane and topped with a small dollop of fluff. Enjoy.

If you've written one for this year or another that you think we'd enjoy, do post a link!

That is really really good! And I'm not even into Dr. Who...don't know the first thing about the show, and yet the story really drew me in... I loved the idea of the star puppy... :) I think you should submit this somewhere.

Love your sparkly trees - did you make that one?

And thank you, that's quite a compliment if it can appeal to someone who isn't even in the fandom. :-) I must credit [livejournal.com profile] starbells with the inspiration for the little star - I had the idea for a little lost creature and she said "Ooh, what if it's star-shaped? And its hiding!" [livejournal.com profile] everloyal also helped me greatly with the details for the plot, especially the children's reactions.

"It isn't cherry, it's benzaldehyde acetal."
*dies laughing*

Aww, such a sweet story! And poor Benton. *pets him*

I think I should write a Christmas fic as well - I'm sure it will be great fun putting my girl!Doctor in a themed one-shot.

But of course - we should spread the Christmas cheerfic anywhere we can. ^_^ I love your icon, though you'd think it would be *her* in the glasses, heh. (Jon: "I told you she's blind as a bat.")

And yes, poor old Benton did get the short end of the stick in this one - I'll have to write him a nice ficlet or something to make up for it.

Yeah, I've recently re-listened to the Three Doctors audio commentaries and loved her remarks about her near-sightedness, which I had completely forgotten about. (Of course, I loved the reference to Jon's botty even more, but let's not go there. :P)

I keep on trying to figure out ways to make Benton feel good ever since I first watched Day of the Daleks, but I'm yet to write enough Benton to put them in effect. Right now I'm halfway through a fic featuring UNIT, though, so something might happen soon.

Is there a winter-holidays-themed DW fic comm out there? If not, someone ought to start one!

Ever so cute! :) And you know how much I love the Third Doctor. :)

There's some good Christmas DW icons out there. I need to add more, to the ones that I have already by [livejournal.com profile] justlook3.
