The one drawback to nicer weather popping up now and then is sunshine makes all the dirt show up. :-P I spent all morning doing stuff like cleaning mildew out of the window-tracks, dusting and going around with a fuzzy-thing-on-a-stick taking down cobwebs. Who knew there were so many?

Phew.

My family moved every couple years when I was growing up so I never got programmed for 'Spring Cleaning' - we did serious cleaning when we moved. The result is it sometimes really takes me by surprise how the walls get icky and the dustbunnies multiply behind furniture now that I've the luxury of staying kinda in one place.

Do you "Spring Clean" as an annual event? How serious do you get? Moving furniture and beating rugs and all that?

I dust and vacuum and clean before out-of-town guests arrive... a few times a year. I really should dust more often, as the amount that accumulates in my apartment is truly unbelievable. Between the desert sand blowing from the east and the coastal sand blowing from the west, this is a very dusty place!

I need a fuzzy-thing-on-a-stick.

Sounds like it's a good thing you aren't someone with a lot of dust allergies - but just think, you can leave notes for yourself by doodling across the furniture and save paper. :-D

Being male, I lack the genes for housework; and living on my own, I tend to neglect it. That said, I've spent a lot of today pushing a hoover about and shredding old documents in an attempt to get down to the actual surface of my desk. Found a £5 note while I was doing it, too.
