Snoody 5 questions Meme
Oct. 21st, 2010 12:21 pmComment with BLUE SNOOD and I'll give you five questions to satisfy my curiosity. Go post the answers on your journal with these instructions and spread the madness!
And here are the questions
nentari of the Orange Knickers asked me,
1. Name your favourite book of all time, and why you love it so much.
Impossible to name one favourite...just impossible...perhaps a favourite per category might be possible but then there's too many categories.
*ponder* Aside from the obvious-to-me (such as the Bible and LOTR) I have a nice, fat compilation of poetry with a good heaping helping of Tennyson in it that I love, it's just always so beautiful or thought-provoking. I've read Watership Down to dog-eared buy-another-copy status, likewise Mary Stewart's Merlin books and some of McCaffrey, I am vastly amused at Wodehouse's Jeeves books, I adore "The Sacred Diary of Adian Plass"- currently I'm thoroughly enjoying the Peter and the Starcatchers series. How's that?
2. Your favorite Doctor Who moment?
Personally, a top contender would be when my kids invented Whovian monster costumes and did a black-and-white photo shoot of themselves in classic "arrrgh, the monster is attacking me! cue the evil green light!" moments, and I was *so proud* of them.
In the show, I...I really can't even begin to narrow it down or choose, but I'm sure it probably has either Troughton or Pertwee being utterly amazing in it.
3. The TARDIS has landed in your backyard, and your favourite Team TARDIS have just invited you along. Bear in mind that this is a real trip - there's no guarantee you'll ever get back to your own time, or even live through the experience. Do you go with them?
Heck yeah!! If opportunity knocks and says "Adventure is THIS way" I'm likely to want to grab it - though mundane responsibilities dictate my kids would have to come too, and of course then I would probably forbid *them* to leave the TARDIS to keep them safe... which could put a hitch in the Doctor's style.
4. What's your worst habit?
Avoiding difficult, bothersome or time-consuming things that should be done because I'd rather just go off and have some playtime for myself. I'm not good at sacrificing Me Time for others, at least not without resenting it. :-P
5. You have absolutely nothing to do all day. No obligations, nothing that needs your attention. How do you amuse yourself?
WRITING! Maybe stopping now and then to put on some music and dance, or to eat chocolate.
