So, this Bath cabinet walks into a Beach...

So, we have a tiny bathroom downstairs with a boring but sturdy walnut cabinet on the wall - my opinion being it's too useful to remove and too dark to leave 'that way' in such a small space, thus.... voila!  I did up an abstract oceany thingy on it using various colors of rub-n-buff... it was all done with just my fingers, no brushes, which made for tired hands occasionally, but... hey!  :-)  Much happiness.

Started off with white crayon sketching after working out the pattern in colored pencil (tiny paper on the wall) then started working from the edges inward:



And the finished project!

Thank you! I like the metallics, it feels like it went from a little dark cubby to something bright in there just with the reflected lighting.

Thanks! The bath has cobalt blue and sea tones in the decor with a shiny silver 'beaten' textured sink in a deep blue vanity so it worked well with it. Amazing how small things, like even light-switch covers, can make a big difference in a tiny room.
