Egads. Just looking at the heat map that NASA has for the US at this point.... Here in Oregon, I'm wearing a light sweater, cradling my cup of tea and it's drizzling outside.  I wish I could gather all of you heat-suffering people to my house where you could go lay in the cool grass and mud of my yard, look at the flowers and let the drizzle fall upon you.

How hot is it where you are?  Are ya'll doing okay?

Temperatures are in the 90s here; I'm lucky to have power (90% of our town lost power in the huge East Coast thunderstorm you may have seen on the news recently, and they're estimating repair work won't be finished till the Fourth) and A/C. My family doesn't have either - I keep hinting at them about the "cooling centers" and shelters for people without power that the local government and Red Cross have set up, but they're like "we're not that bad off". I hope they're right.

Chicago is extremely hot, and Wisconsin is a bit cooler but not much. They are starting to talk drought here, too. Yikes! Drizzly rain sounds wonderful!

It's been in the 100's here in the prairie. Sadly, that coupled with the humidity and lack of rain has been the hardest. I never thought I'd say it, but frankly, I miss Phoenix summers. At least there was no humidity there.

Just another reason to dislike Kansas.

This being the UK in July, the weather has been decidedly on the damp side these last few days.

Ninety-something, excluding heat index. Two buses managed to break down from overheating (something in one of them appeared to catch fire!) Still, at least no wildfires.

Nineties here. Finally broke down and put in the AC in the bedroom. Showered after work, at work, because there's no climate control in a factory other than the break rooms and locker rooms. Oh, and offices, but the forklift won't fit in there.

Still, it's summer. We expect it.
