I Made a Thing
Jul. 29th, 2012 08:28 amI feel so accomplished, heh. I'd picked up an assortment of old silver serving spoons and such at various garage sales and finally took the time to finish making them into a wind-chime of sorts:

It's a very quiet chime, as I spaced them so they only occasionally clang together, mostly it just moves around in the breeze for sparkle. I wrapped them with colored wire so I would have a way to attach them, then added random beads from a couple broken necklaces and some wood ones from an old macrame hanger than I took apart. The top is a silver wire fruit basket.
This way if I ever get tired of it, I can take it apart and have a lot of perfectly serviceable spoons and tongs and so on too. ;-)
