Valentine triolets
Feb. 12th, 2005 04:59 pmWe seem to be on a roll with the ME-couple triolets - so I thought I'd go ahead and post a few more I've done here, the holiday being nearly upon us. If anyone else has some, by all means jump right in!
Eowyn and Faramir
Blades and flowers dwell in our hearts-
You saved my soul when I wished death.
Together, we've seen hope restart;
Blades and flowers dwell in our hearts,
And thus entwined, we'll never part -
For by the truth of ev'ry breath,
Blades and flowers dwell in our hearts...
You saved my soul when I wished death.
For Elrond and Celebrian
My love I'll see, one day again,
To tell her that I love her still;
I heard her sing the sea's refrain...
My love I'll see, one day again.
Her eyes shine in our sons, a-twain
And with her grace our daughter's filled.
My love I'll see, one day again,
To tell her that I love her still.
Bill the Pony and Sam
He carried packs and did his part,
It's almost like that beast could talk.
Though thin he was right at the start,
He carried packs and did his part,
The two of us shared servant's hearts -
We both were faithful through our walk -
He carried packs and did his part,
It's almost like that beast could talk.
And for that other, very odd "couple"...
For Smeagol and Gollum
My other half, my only love,
My dark that dims the nasty lights -
We is below, we is above
My other half, my only love,
For us we seek It, hand and glove,
We comforts us, sometimes we fights -
My other half, my only love,
My dark that dims the nasty lights.
They're so quick to do, it's hard to stop - not as bad as limericks or haiku (the potato chips of poetry!) but a close second. :-) We still need someone to do a good Aragorn/Arwen one - any takers?
