Costume to swim in?

Hmm.  My water aerobics class has announced they want to "dress up" for Halloween as we have a class that morning - of course, I must presume this essentially means "dress up their heads" as the rest of the body has to be submerged in chlorinated water for the duration...

I can't think of anything sufficiently waterproof at the moment - maybe a gaudy necklace and earrings with something made of bits of craft foam for my hair?  Uh... ??  Er...? 

Ever run into anything like this? Ideas? Help!

A bathing cap with some waterproof craft things stuck to it? (If you can find a bright orange one you could maybe draw a pumpkin face on it?)

Actually, I like that - rubber bathing caps may be difficult, but I might be able to find a bright shower cap...

My son chimes in with the idea of taking a blue shower cap and attaching a cheap rubber duck to it... I think we may have something here. A hairnet might even work if a showercap didn't... hoooom....

I can't think of how to pull it off well, though I suppose it might work to make a cap "fish like"... fins, googly eyes and scales... hm....

Haha! Yes! I love that. I wonder if I can find some cheap fake fruit... or maybe cut fruit shapes from craft foam at the very least. X-D

Sounds like so much fun! Maybe you could use face paints and then you can "dress up" your face as basically anything. Personally I'm a fan of butterfly face paint. Though I suppose it depends whether or not you have to submerge your face, in which case you'd have to find water-proof face paints.

Butterflies are always pretty. I had a similar conclusion though, that waterproof paints might be more money/trouble than it was worth...I'll probably go with a lot of standard eyeshadow and such no matter what the end theme, if that washes away it shouldn't be too bad.
