Our longtime online community, the Fellowship of Middle-earth, has become enough outdated that we are now looking for a new home, so I will be working on a DWth community over this next month to make them an appropriate nesting spot.  It's a small group of stalwart posters at this point but we've been together so long that we'd really miss on another if it were to simply float off into the ether.  Good people, worth a bit of time to make them a comfy home to stop in at.
^_^

I do wish we could easily insert emoticons into the text here, that's the one feature I think we're going to be missing.  On the other hand, we gain tagging.

Good to hear! I will miss the old format and the old place, of course, and I was willing to go wherever they wanted to move -- but I'm glad for it coming to DW. I don't use this place as much as I could, but I have been trying to set it up as a place to house my writing, so those who used to follow me over at FoME could keeping doing that if they wanted to! :-)

Love that icon, makes me feel at home already! <3

I'll miss the cute emoticons, but text emoticons work, too! ;)

In order for people to use image DW emoticons they'd have to choose from ones from their own account, and free accounts can't hold very many. Img HTML tags are allowed in replies, however. Maybe if we could have a sister image hosting account at a place like imgur.com for instance, that would hold all our favorites. These image hosting websites will also provide an easily copied link address. Imgur used to also provide full HTML posting codes for a photo (in various formats), but recently changed it to just provide the bare link. I have another image hosting account at Photobucket, but they've become so much of a "clickbait" service it really slows down the ability to find what you want.

I could also create an ad-free webpage on my personal site which could be used similarly... but none of these solutions is as easy or seamless as just finding an image and clicking on it to automatically add it to the post :(
