What I found fun about this is first, this has been a household favorite cookie for as long as I can remember and second, folks from other parts of the US/world often don't know what one is. :-D (admit it - do you really know what a snickerdoodle is?)

And here I always thought I ought to be a peppermint patty, I eat enough of them, heh.

Yay! I remember seeing a guy on a tv quiz show lose his turn because he had no idea what one was. I think he decided it was a kind of musical instrument.

LOL!! I love snickerdoodles, but I must admit the name has always puzzled me. Where did it come from? To me, it sounds like this cookie should have snickers in it or something.
