Hot horizons

It's been so pleasant here that I've just been shaking my head over all the reports of horrible heat that have been coming from everywhere else - today we're still only in the high 70s. BUT then I took a look at the forecast for the coming weekend - holy moly - 105??! Insane! Looks like everyone else's heat has found some way to get at us after all - or are you all sending it to us for revenge? Time to go deep-water all my plants in the next couple days before we're forced to hole up inside again.

I have to admit, I was a bit miffed the other day when the only temperature in the 48 States that was less than 95 degrees was Seattle... :-D

We are much cooler today, thankfully -- haven't had to turn on the AC yet, yay! It may be only a brief reprieve, but if I get one good night's sleep before it gets hot again, that would be nice. Our window unit AC is useless when it comes to bedrooms at night.
