My kids built a rectangular fort of legos in the living room and sprayed it with catnip extract. Pi (the cat) has been rolling around it it, knocking down the walls like the Attack of the Giant Cat, filmed with a shoestring budget.

Cats are far too cute for their own good sometimes.

And who gets to wash those Legos of the catnip, I wonder...

My boy had 20 lbs worth of Legos in Pakistan (I know, because we weighed them to bring them back with us) and they got very, very dusty and had to be washed on a regular basis. What a pain! :-D

Wash? Nah... I just let it wear off after a while. Now if they had wanted to spray them with, say, grape juice, that would have been another matter! We have scads of legos, I hate to think how many pounds - but if I had to wash the dust from them all the time...well, I suppose they could be dumped into a bathtub. Can you buy legos in Pakistan too? They do seem pretty universal.

That's what I did, dumped them in a tub and swished them around. Most of the ones we had were ones inherited from previous MK's and ones he'd buy in the US and take back -- they had some for sale in the import shops (not to mention some really sad-looking fakes!), but they were usually too pricey to buy over there.

We still have them, and one of my son's goals is to get them out one day and build something really big, now that we have some floor space!

I might help him, if he's willing to have a go at building Minas Tirith, or something fun like that...

That icon is precious! I love how wacky cats get from catnip! It brings the kitten out in even the most reserved and proper of cats. I really don't know what people without pets do for entertainment.
