A germ hath taken away my voice. Arrrgh!

I used to get laryngitis about once a year, then it was less and less until I forgot about it. Definitely back with a vengeance. Silly thing is whenever I whisper to people (because it's all I can do, darnit) they usually whisper back. Everything's been very secretive around here. X-D

Poor little parakeets were very confused when I uncovered them this morning and couldn't even give them a 'good morning' - I belatedly remembered I could at least whistle at them, which really set them burbling. Same approach doesn't work with the family, sadly.

Sigh.

True true! I've ended up spending a lot more time online today because of it, so perhaps that's the silver lining in there? Someone told me to gargle warm salt-water and I'm trying to work myself up to actually doing it...bleaurgh... running around online is so much more fun.

LOL, I got a kick out of imagining your confused birds, though. I had a parakeet years ago and I know they are easily confused - at least Ditto was. ;)

Ditto is a great name for a parakeet - my current birds (Snowy and Sherbet) are good company, but not the brightest crayons in the box, y'know? ;-)

You know what will happen? When it starts to come back you will have a very husky sexy voice for a little while. I remember liking that when I was recovering from a cold. Nowadays though I am just glad it is over when it is over. Get well soon!

I hope you're feeling better now. At least as someone said, it doesn't stop writing. And we don't have to talk in whispers here. You could even SHOUT, but people tend to frown on that sort of thing. :-)

One of my all-time faves, seen many, many times. And yup, down to just the occasional throat-tickles at this point so I'm back up to everything except singing - had to find a replacement for last Sunday still, but it'll be back.
