Oooh, look ladies! Nice!
Jul. 22nd, 2009 12:00 pmI've found something wonderful for, well - personal care for us gals, but it's so cool I thought I'd point the way in case others are interested...
Like most of us, I've been trying to find ways to cut back i.e. switching to vintage cloth napkins this year (we love 'em!) hanging out the clothes to dry more often, etc. Considering paper goods, I wondered what options there might be for ladies pads (after all, they used to be cloth, right?) and found these:
"Party in my Pants"
I like that it's a cottage-industry type company too, just some ladies making them in Wisconsin. They always send a nice little note with each order and have contests, etc. where you can win a free one, a monthly newsletter for gals collecting new designs and so on. Who would've thought something like this could be kind of, well, fun?
I bought samples from two other companies too, but these win, hands down. I figure I'll only keep a few (now seeming scratchy) paper ones on hand for when I'm traveling - my daughters have both switched to these too. I have guitars, birds, dots, flowers, swirls...hee... They did cost a bit to get initially set up with a handful each (considering I have three ladies in my home) but I figure we more than make it back by all the paper I'm not buying anymore. They've washed up just fine - all you have to do it pick up a box of an oxygen-type bleach (like Oxy-brite and similar) rather than chlorine bleach and you're good to go.
Wish I'd found 'em sooner, so I thought I'd share. :-)
