It occurred to me that I've never drawn a chibi - so I thought I would try one. Quick scribble... they were really quite tiny up in the corner of the paper, heh.

It's a shame I no longer have access to a scanner, or I'd give it a try myself. I do a lot of cartoonish doodles, but have never tried chibis.

Chibis are those adorable little quasi-anime style drawings that make a person/character/animal tiny with a tiny body, larger head and *huge* eyes - think Hello Kitty. You can take anyone and make them cute by making them a chibi - I've seen some simply adorable chibi bad-guys out there that even though they're Evil you want to just pick them up and hug them. :-D I've seen huggable chibis of the hobbits as well and every time Frodo's eyes about overwhelm his head, lol... but they're so cuuuute!

Thank you! I understand now. I've seen Frodo drawn with huge eyes that almost overwhelm his face, and they make him even more adorable. :)

I had no idea there was a name for this type of art.

I bet you could - they were easier to do than I had expected, which is probably why people end up with so many of them out there. :-) Heh, would be fun to do Cicero, Plato, et al as chibis...
