Epicon is Epic
Feb. 3rd, 2010 01:46 pmJust got the mail and found my copy of Globus' Epicon album arrived - much rejoicing and bouncing around ensued in our household - the music is simply stunning, music trends for this next decade bode well if this is any indication. Nice that we were able to find a copy of the older release, the one with the text on the cover as it includes faves such as Crusaders of the Light which was strangely missing on the later one.
I love seeing more use of classical instruments in 'pop' music of late - really, after how-many-decades of piano/electric guitar/drums the occasional violin, cello, oboe, etc. sound really, really fab and add so much lost richness and depth. Ahhh.
