Haven't done a meme for a while, this one seems to have reached out a tentacle and snagged part of my evening - I blame [livejournal.com profile] curuchamion and [livejournal.com profile] lothithil equally for this.

How it's supposed to work:
A. List seven habits/quirks/facts about yourself.
B. Tag seven people to do the same. (Nah.... what if they're busy and it just annoys them?)
C. Do not tag the person who tagged you or say that you tag "whoever wants to do it." (Sure you can! There isn't even a curse of toenail fungus or anything threatening to zot you either way)

#1: My mom has a picture of me sleeping with one of my favorite books growing up, "Favorite Poems to Read Aloud"... I still have that now yellowed and dog-eared, taped-up volume, my teddy-book.

#2: I am amused with myself with my own predictability - I found an old photo album I'd put together back when I was in high school (for me that's long ago!) and found I had some lovely pictures of Jon Pertwee from when the Five Doctors came out I'd tucked away in there. Yes, I even liked him back then, ha! My kids couldn't believe it.

#3: Happy accident - I started singing in sixth grade because if I went to Glee Club I could get out of a social studies class I hated, surprised both the teacher and myself by having a pretty good voice and have been singing ever since.

#4: Peppermint is like a drug for me or something, I just love it. Good peppermint with dark chocolate is enough to make my eyes roll up in my head. If I were in politics, the lobbyists could probably bribe me in Junior Mints.

#5: I dream of painting things all the time and imagine them in my head, but painting takes so very long to do I almost never manage to produce one. If I had multiple lives to live out, one of them would be an artist in one of those seaside art bungalows.

#6: I memorized all the poetry bits from the openings of the chapters of Watership Down as a kid and still remember most of them.

#7: I have a miniature garden that takes up the lower level of my hutch, complete with tiny windchimes that dangle from the teensy tree-branches and weensy boxes of plant food. I use coffee for the dirt in the planters. This started back when I had a friend who was into Victorian dollhouses - we decided "someday" she would have a dollhouse and do the inside and I would do the yard, so while that someday has wandered off into the weeds, I still enjoy my tiny park.
