Flying squirrels
Feb. 5th, 2010 07:55 amPulled open the blinds in the dining room this morning and the first thing I saw was a flailing flying squirrel. Literally spread-eagled in mid-air with all four little paws waving around like a cartoon character.
Seems the movement at the window startled it right off the roof of the littlesquirrel bird-feeder it was looting for sunflower-seeds. X-D He landed and tried to regain what dignity he could by pretending that hadn't happened. *snert snert*

I caught him out once where he had realized that, no, it wasn't cat food or T-U-N-A, but just some people food (probably veggies for the pot--nothing that a cat would be interested in, of course!). He developed a sudden need to sat and wash a hind leg, but that didn't fool me. Ha! I pointed and laughed at him so much, that obviously I impeded his dignity. He removed to the formal living room, where he was not supposed to go because of the sheers, and hid under the sofa for quite some time afterwards. I still laugh when I remember that. :)
